Engineering Notebook

Builds on Chapter 11, structured around what the VEX notebook rubric actually scores: the design process from identifying a problem through testing and refining it, plus teamwork and formatting. Every entry asks for the number behind the call, and for what you rejected.

Why the extra fields

Judges score the process, not the robot. An entry that records what you tried, what the numbers were, and what you threw out scores higher than a tidy one that only records what worked. That is the whole reason the rejected-ideas box is there.

Entries save in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Export whenever you want a copy you can hand to a judge.

Design process stage

What judges look for: Who showed up, what got done, what is next. This is your team memory.

The questions below change with the stage. Switching stage keeps anything you already typed.

Photos are resized before saving and are placed beside the text on the slide, and inline in the Google Doc.

Backup

Entries live in this browser only, so clearing site data would wipe them. A backup file restores everything, photos included, and moves it to another computer.

Nothing here yet. Add your first entry and it saves automatically in this browser.
